Get help with Macro Tracker
Start with the checks below. If the problem remains, report the smallest reproducible case without sharing private nutrition or account secrets.

ChatGPT setup
Connect the Macro Tracker MCP app from ChatGPT. It authorizes your Macro Tracker account with OAuth and calls the same server-calculated nutrition services as the website.
- Switch to the Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace you intend to use. Business admins and owners can enable Developer mode from Workspace Settings → Apps → Create. For Enterprise or Edu, an admin grants Connected Data developer access; an enabled user then turns it on under Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings.
- From Workspace Settings or user Settings, open Apps → Create. Name the app Macro Tracker, enter
https://macros.jpamorgan.com/mcp, choose OAuth, select Scan Tools, complete authorization if prompted, review the discovered tools, and select Create. Then invoke one Macro Tracker tool from the draft app in a new eligible web chat.
OpenAI currently limits full MCP support to Business, Enterprise, and Edu on ChatGPT web. Pro accounts can connect read/fetch MCP servers in Developer mode, but that cannot perform Macro Tracker's logging and correction writes. Follow OpenAI's current Developer mode and MCP apps guide if the labels or eligibility rules change.
Published plugins are available in ChatGPT Work on the web and in ChatGPT Work or Codex in the desktop app, but not in ordinary Chat or mobile.
If Developer mode or Apps is missing on the web, switch to an eligible Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace and ask an administrator or owner to enable Developer mode and publish or authorize the app. This setting is controlled by OpenAI and the workspace, not Macro Tracker.
Connection and authorization
The website reports ChatGPT as connected only after the MCP app completes OAuth and receives an active grant. Creating or opening the app alone does not change the status. If authorization was revoked or expired, invoke a Macro Tracker tool again to reconnect.
A native Codex or Claude card can report Connected when an active loopback grant matches recognized, self-declared client metadata. That label is useful connection status, but it does not verify OpenAI or Anthropic as the publisher.
- Complete MCP setup in ChatGPT on the web and in the same eligible workspace where you intend to use the app.
- Allow pop-ups for the login and consent handoff, then return to the original web chat.
- If you already created the Macro Tracker app, first add it again from the web chat's Tools menu and invoke a tool to reconnect. Recreate the developer app only if that fails, so ChatGPT rediscovers the current OAuth metadata and permissions.
- After connecting, return to Macro Tracker Settings. The status refreshes when the page regains focus; open Setup help and select Check connection if it still appears pending.
You can verify that the public service is responding at the health endpoint.
Nutrition writes and images
If a meal is ambiguous, Macro Tracker returns one clarification and writes nothing. For a Nutrition Facts image, attach it to the same connected-host message as your direct logging request. The host reads the image; Macro Tracker receives only structured facts and never the image itself.
When a logging request identifies a food through USDA, a readable Nutrition Facts label, or corroborated public research, its facts automatically reuse or enter the shared catalog as an immutable provenance-labeled version. Exact facts reuse their existing provenance; new facts retain their USDA, printed-label, or estimated source classification. Unidentified labels and complete unconfirmed facts you explicitly supply remain private.
If Macro Tracker's global catalog and USDA search cannot resolve a food, an authorized host may cross-check public web sources as a fallback. It sends Macro Tracker the structured food name, nutrition basis and nutrients, consumed amount, quantity quality, and 2–5 source titles with public HTTPS URLs. Macro Tracker's server does not fetch those URLs. The resulting intake stays private, while the corroborated food facts reuse or enter the shared catalog as an immutable provenance-labeled version. Later corrections can coexist with it without changing the exact facts originally logged. Review the cited sources, serving basis, quantity, and estimate before relying on it.
A connected host must reuse the idempotency key it generated when retrying the same write. A genuinely different meal is a new intention and needs a new key.
Account data
Use Settings to export your account or review active agent connections. Password-reset and verification links expire and should never be shared.
Privacy rights requests should use those authenticated controls. If you cannot sign in, email privacy@jpamorgan.com from your account address when possible. Put only the request type in the first message; support will reply with identity-verification steps.
Report a problem
Email support@jpamorgan.com with the page or tool name, approximate time, expected behavior, actual behavior, and any opaque request ID shown to you. A reproducible problem containing no personal information may instead be filed in the public issue tracker.
Do not send or post your password, OAuth token, reset token, full meal history, Nutrition Facts image, or other health information.
